731Day is bound to be full of fun all around Jackson and West Tennessee, but here are the Our Jackson Home-specific events you don't want to miss! See you on Wednesday, July 31.
United Way 731 Day of Service
Dream Center Gibson County | 8:30am - 11:00pm
For the second year, United Way of West Tennessee is joining in the 731Day fun by organizing a service project to give back to those that serve our community. This year we will be helping out the Dream Center’s new location in Humboldt with some landscaping projects. The Dream Center changes the lives of women from all across West Tennessee; let’s give back to them on 731Day!
4th Annual Water Balloon Fight
Casey Jones Village | 3:00pm - 5:00pm
What better way to savor the last bit of summer than with Jackson’s biggest water balloon fight?! Join us in our FREE 4th annual 731Day fiasco of 7,310 water balloons at Casey Jones Village. The water balloon fight will kick off at 3:30, and before and after you can cool off with some sweet treats from the ice cream parlor and the Snow Cone Hut while enjoying live music. Downtown Dogs Group will also be available if your family is interested in adopting a pooch! Many thanks to our sponsor, Town & Country Realtors, as well as the City of Jackson Fire Department for providing water!
Midtown | 5:00pm - 9:00pm
There are few things more perfect on a summer night than live music on a front porch, and this 731Day, we're bringing back Jackson's new favorite event: Porchfest! Enjoy FREE and family-friendly music from local musicians throughout the historic LANA area in the hospitable yards of your Jackson neighbors. Join in on the fun as long as you'd like, moving from house to house with your own lawn chair or picnic blanket and grabbing snacks from local food trucks along the route. This year we will have two routes to accommodate more musicians, one along Campbell starting at Walnut and the other weaving through Division and Wisdom, and the finale performance by LOLO will be on Crescent where the two paths will meet at 8:30pm.
